What this version does not decide
The calculator checks the standard break pattern. If a longer duty relies on the alternative 8h30 arrangement, it asks for a manual review. It does not automatically verify fortnightly rest, weekly working time, exemptions, mixed-rule driving or whether rest is adequate for your circumstances.
The short GOV.UK overview and detailed DVSA guide describe the alternative break arrangement differently. That route remains a review case pending clarification and further tests.

MyDuty helps local bus drivers understand their duty and rest times. It is also useful to anyone reviewing the same kind of duty. This first version is for feedback and testing.
Privacy
Your duty inputs are calculated in your browser. This application does not send them to a server, save them between visits, use analytics or set cookies. Your hosting provider may keep normal access logs such as IP addresses. Links to other sites follow those sites' policies.
Using the results
This is a decision aid, not approval to drive or a complete legal assessment. Results depend on accurate inputs and the correct rules. Check uncertainties with your operator and the official guidance. Do not drive when unfit or tired.
